The Academic Model Providing Access To Health Care (AMPATH) is a project under the auspices of Moi University School of Medicine and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital whose aim is to provide sustainable efforts in HIV Prevention and Care.
Besides the MTRH site, AMPATH also runs satellite clinics at 23 outreach sites in Rift Valley, Nyanza & Western provinces.
Position: Biostatistician (1 Post)

Reporting to the Associate Program Manager-Research at AMPATH Centre in Eldoret, the successful candidate will do the following: -

The Role:
Reporting to the Associate Program Manager-Research at AMPATH Centre in Eldoret, the successful candidate will do the following: -
- Design Research Protocols.
- Develop Research Methodology.
- Advise on appropriate Statistical Techniques.
- Analyze data using appropriate Software and Methods.
- Prepare statistical Reports and Presentations.
- Advise and perform appropriate queries from the Database and assist in development of associated databases.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must be a good communicator and be in possession of:-

- At least a Masters degree preferably Biostatistics or Statistics.
- A basic degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Environmental Health, Economics, or any other related field.
- Proficient in statistical software e.g. SAS, SPSS, STATA, epi-info., Spreadsheets.
- Conversant with word processing and PowerPoint Presentation.
- 1 year experience in research and complex data analysis is a must.
The successful candidate will be employed on a 1-year renewable contract terms with a competitive salary and allowances.
