Position: Clinical Research Coordinator (3 positions)

Key Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor degree in Health Related Field (Nurses or Clinical Officer)
- At least 1 year of research experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Should be a registered member of the relevant professional body.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Involved in the development of clinical trial protocols; participates in the development of standard operating procedures, collaborates and coordinates the protocol review and approval process, to include submissions to IRBs.
- Oversees research technical and/or administrative activities, to include training, goal setting, and distribution of workload.
- Advises and train site personnel on sponsor and regulatory requirements for study conduct; participates and/or conducts study and investigator meetings.
- Reviews study records, case for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance; identifies deficiencies and discrepancies, and provides remedial training and/or initiates corrective action as required.
- Prepares reports.
This is a training position requiring highly skilled, motivated and committed individuals; the Clinical Research Coordinator will be required to work under supervision of a senior study coordinator.
Terms of Employment: Contract for 1 year renewable as per KEMRI scheme of service.
Probationary period will be the first 3 months.
Remuneration: Compensation is negotiable within a relevant grade, based on educational level, relevant experience and demonstrated competency
