Export Manager
The Export Manager role is a senior position and our client is looking for someone with proven negotiation skills at a high level, the person should be earmarked for future people management role.
The person will develop and Implement sales and distribution strategies to drive sales and reach or exceed the annual budget and LRP in line with the overall business vision, driving the commercial uptake of products by farmers and distributors in various countries.

Outputs/Key Responsibilities
- To develop strategic plans of business which support long term Company goals and manage these strategies to maximise sales at farm and distributor level in export countries.
- Provide technical input to farmers and distributors to influence decision making process and business growth.
- Draw up comprehensive operational plans, describing how to achieve the annual sales and SG&A budget
- Optimising performance through effective communication, motivation, training, and development of target customers.
- Working with the Commercial Team and Technical team to analyse the country market to identify potential business opportunities and new clients
- To be a strong team player working across functions.
- The person is expected to travel and stay out of Nairobi for periods as the job may require
- The person should have a valid driver’s license, with recent driving experience.
Required
- At least 2 years in a senior position.
- Knowledge of Agricultural business environment in the region and an understanding of the agricultural markets in particular dynamics of the farm, influence, distribution channel.
- Have experience in Market survey and strategic development for growth
- Must have a High level of Strategic and analytical knowledge.
- Computer literacy and appreciation of information systems.
- Very strong technical sales expertise.
- Demonstrable success within Sales/commercial.
- Must be able to demonstrate continuous personal development within industry.
- Bachelors of Science in Agriculture or Horticulture.
