Responsibilities
- Provide technical and program support for Jhpiego’s urban slums project
- Assist in the development of tools and strategies for improving the health urban slums residents
- Represent Jhpiego at meetings of local, district and provincial health authorities, partners and stakeholders.
- Strengthen linkages between health facilities and communities
- Support community ownership of health
- Implement the projects’ set priorities and plans for the successful implementation of community health programs
- Provide administrative support to the project; including preparation of activity budgets and work plans
- Organize workshops, trainings and other meetings as required
- Prepare annual, quarterly and monthly reports as required
- Support the development and deployment of community health workers
- Assist with monitoring and evaluation of the project
Qualifications
- A basic university degree in social sciences or a health related field is required
- Two years experience in community work in urban slums
- Experience in working with MOH and training both service providers and/or community health workers
- Excellent analytical, communication and report writing skills
- Excellent understanding of reproductive health issues and the community strategy
- Innovativeness in addressing community health challenges
