Job Summary: The intern is responsible for assisting the head of research department in the efficient management of Research activities of the company, such as the day-to-day implementation and operation of research papers, oversee data collection, and supervise research activities, Performs administrative duties which support research department.
The research intern leaves the company with a solid background in research and the skills necessary to perform standard research procedures.
Duty Station: Nairobi Office
Reporting to: The Team Leader
Major Responsibilities/Duties:

Duty Station: Nairobi Office
Reporting to: The Team Leader
Major Responsibilities/Duties:
- Assist in the day-to-day implementation and operation of multiple research studies conducted by the unit.
- Carryout orientation of research teams
- Assist in recruitment of Research participants’ e.g. eligibility screening, enrollment and scheduling.
- Administer the participants’ appointments.
- Develop concept papers for research.
- Oversee and coordinate data collection processes.
- Maintain and update database of research teams.
- Supervise Research activities liaising with the head of research department.
- Assist in management of effective running of research processes and the administrative work which support research department.
- Assist in the creation of research Standards and Practices.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in social sciences related field
- Superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in a variety of computer applications e.g. SPSS / EPI - INFO
- Hard working and self driven – can work with minimum supervision
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methodologies
