Touring Operations Manager Job in Kenya

A large, leading Travel and Tours Company in Kenya are looking for an experienced manager for their group of offices based around Kenya.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Travel & Tourism Management from Utalii College
• University Degree in Business Management or related
• A minimum of 5 years experience in the same or similar capacity
• Strong management and business skills
• Computer literate and with effective communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build strong relationships.
• Age: over 30 Years

Responsibilities:

This will include amongst others;

• Co-ordinating and overseeing the day to day operations of the department
• Negotiating for favorable contract rates with suppliers (Including Hoteliers / Transport, Restaurants and ground handlers at both local and international level)
• Exploring and identifying new business opportunities in the competitive and rapidly changing industry
• Nurturing and enhancing the business to business relationships with the company’s existing client base and all stakeholders
• Designing and developing flexible tours itineraries and packages to meet the needs of different stakeholder groups including International Tour Operators and individual travelers
• Organizing, facilitating and attending tourism events, conferences, workshops, seminars and exhibitions
• Conveying a range of information on itineraries, destinations and facilities to different stakeholders
• Overseeing and interpreting all monthly financials with input on budgets
• Developing and managing a new software package for the department
