Product manager – content

Candidates must be university graduates, with a creative mind-set, and computer savvy. Familiarity with local and international music; with Radio, Advertising, Music industry experience preferred.

Must be well connected within the music industry, artists, Radio & TV stations.

Responsibilities:
Identifying, acquiring Music, Text & related multimedia Content for various VAS platforms/services.
Work closely with content partners, recording studios, voice over artists and manage day to day operations, formatting and uploading the content to our platform/ services.

The Position:
* To ensure that products developed by Virtual City are packaged to high quality standard and it offers differentiation in the market for Virtual City Products.

Responsibilities:
* Work with the chief marketing officer of the company to understand existing business processes and marketing strategies for our products * Successfully guiding internal software products from conception through deployment * Defining new products, new product features and helping prioritize product roadmap in conjunction with sales, technical and marketing. * Writing project plans and managing product schedules * Writing product requirements documents, designing workflows and user interfaces and writing functional specifications. * Working closely with software engineers, quality assurance and end users to ensure that new products are implemented, tested and rolled out successfully and meet the needs of the business * Ensure there is product documentation and develop end user training for new products

Academic Qualifications
* A degree in a marketing from a recognized university, or social and business related degree with a postgraduate qualification in marketing management. * 2 years experience working in an FMCG * A thorough understanding of marketing functions and good understanding of the Kenyan market * Previous experience in brand management in a communications industry will be an added advantage

This role is responsible for the delivery of cash management solutions to our customers through the provision of seamless support in the area of payments, collections & liquidity management.

Key Accountabilities will include:-

    * Drive and deliver exceptional sales performance in the three key areas of payments, collections & liquidity management by identifying and meeting customer needs through selling & cross selling specific cash management solutions to customers.

Qualifications & Experience

An exciting career opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and enterprising individuals to join our Pharmaceutical Division as a Group Product Manager.

The successful candidate’s principal responsibility will be to achieve strategic plan objectives in East African markets by providing marketing leadership for assigned therapeutic categories.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
To formulate and implement marketing strategies and plans for assigned range of products so as to maximize profitability and achieve sales and profit targets for East Africa.
Identifying new business opportunities for existing and new therapeutic area
Managing the portfolio P& L through judicious use of the A&P and expense budget
Forecasting for assigned products to ensure product is available for sale and to achieve targeted forecast accuracies.
Market research to uncover potential business opportunities in the market, to determine economic viability and launch new products where appropriate to maximize profitability of portfolio.
Training of sales team on disease/pathology, product and positioning of brands in portfolio
Developing compelling communication with distribution channel members & with HCPs
Setting and managing profitable and competitive pricing policies which are approved by marketing director
Monitor sales performance vs. budgets/forecasts and recommend tactical marketing action
To ensure that all marketing activities adhere to promotion and marketing code to achieve performance with integrity
Work contact with sales force to ensure clear, concise dissemination of key messages and correct use of promo materials
Qualifications & Knowledge:
Undergraduate degree Pharmacy, Medicine or Biological Sciences
Post-graduate qualifications (e.g. MBA, CIM) and/or previous relevant job experience.
Extensive knowledge & deep understanding of pathology / disease areas
At least 2-3 years experience in a medical representative role.
Sound understanding of marketing related processes, procedures and tools.
Strategic and analytical thinking
Ability to manage and contribute to brand P&L
Strong interpersonal skills & ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups of people
