Environment Interns, International Fund for Environmental Conservation(IFEC)

International Fund for Environmental Conservation IFEC is an international non governmental agency with its headquaters in Canada. We work closely with UNEP and United Nations in general. IFEC is an initiative that is established to fund positive environmental conservation efforts and to carry out formal and informal education across the globe.We are currently in the process of setting up our African headquaters in Nairobi, Kenya.We are recruiting for qualified enthuasistic interns between ages 18-30 years to assist us full time over four month period starting mid January 2011 with several environmental projects across Kenya.

OPPORTUNITY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Physical scientific data collection on environmental matters, climate patterns and peoples relation to the environment.
Forecasting, field analysis and envrionmental planning process improvement and implementation.
Reporting directly to the management on field operations.
All successful Internships will be eligible for permanent employment upon completion.

REQUIREMENTS
O level education with minimum D+ in KCSE, diploma or degree will be an added advantage.
Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with fluency in English, Swahili and a local dialect.
Computer literacy with skills in Microsoft Office.
Self driven individuals with ability to work in a dynamic and unstructured environment.
College/ University students going for holiday in January are also encouraged to apply.
