Reporting to the Team Leader-Improving Access to Infrastructure Services Programme, the successful candidate will take the lead in providing technical input in developing and implementing energy projects and supporting fundraising for the programme.

Reporting to the Team Leader-Improving Access to Infrastructure Services Programme, the successful candidate will take the lead in providing technical input in developing and implementing energy projects and supporting fundraising for the programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical (engineering) capacity within the energy programme
- Support the fundraising efforts for the Energy programme in collaboration with Energy Team
- Implement specific energy projects and / or specific technical components in on-going projects
- Participate in discussions to re-define the conceptual framework for Energy Programme
- Establish and maintain networks and linkages with other organisations in the Energy sector
- Represent Practical Action in Energy related forums
Qualifications and skills
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (mechanical / electrical Engineering or renewable energy)
- Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
- Practical experience working with communities and local partner organisations
- Excellent writing skills, and good knowledge of Energy and environmental issues
