Liaison Officer (1 position) - UNWWA (Nairobi)

Liaison Officer (1 position)

Based in Nairobi with one off travels into the field reporting to the programmes Coordinator. The successful candidate will support the team in Juba in the day to day management of procurement and logistics processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the day to day operations of the Nairobi liason Office
  • Provide backstopping to Juba office in logistics.
  • Manage the petty cash at the Nairobi office level
  • Budget controls – ensure all financial commitments are within the budget limits.
  • Liaise with various embassies and High commissions to ensure that the Visas for Staff are processed in good time.
  • Manage staff travel into and out of Nairobi.

Qualifications skills and experience

  • A minimum of KATC Finalist or and certificate in supply chain Management
  • At least 2 years accounting experience – preferably in an NGO.
  • Well versed in computerised office systems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Good understanding of statutory requirements.
  • Strong management and coordination skills
  • Good Administrative and communication skills
  • Communicates clearly and effectively
