Chemonics International Employment Opportunities

Seeking Public Health Experts And Project Staff

Chemonics International seeks staff for an anticipated USAID-funded project in Southern Sudan that will seek to strengthen service delivery and health systems.

We are seeking the following staff positions all based in Juba South Sudan:

Chief of party: Masters in PH or related area; 10 years experience in primary health care with an emphasis on managing teams; at least 5 years experience in managing donor funded projects, preferably in East Africa or the Horn of Africa; experience in leading the development and implementation of international primary health care programs.

Deputy chief of party: MD or Doctorate in Public Health; 10 years experience in the field of primary health care with technical knowledge of implementing MCH, FP, HIV/AIDS and infectious disease programs; At least 5 years experience in managing donor funded projects and in the design and implementation of overseas health projects.

Financial/Sub-Contractor Management Specialist: Degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or at least 7 years of progressively responsible work managing small grants or sub-contracts with INGOS and/or other civil society organizations; knowledge of USAID or other USG assistance policies; experience in pay for performance contracting a plus.

Program coordinators with experience working with INGOs, NGOs, local organizations or the Ministry of Health in capacity building, project planning and coordination.

Also seeking: Monitoring and evaluation expert, a Procurement and Logistics expert, a Communications Coordinator.

All positions require: excellent communications skills; understanding of the full array of health and health related issues in Southern Sudan a plus; prior experience working with USAID-funded or other funded projects preferred; and English fluency is required.

An office manager and accountant will also be required, both with extensive administrative experience with USAID or other donor funded projects.
