EDC- Southern Sudan Interactive Radio Instruction (SSIRI) Project is an important part of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Department of Alternative Education Systems. The primary objective of SSIRI is to develop and broadcast educational radio programs to children, youth, and adults in order to improve access to and quality of education throughout southern Sudan and the Three Areas. SSIRI is administered by EDC and funded by USAID.
EDC would like to recruit a Temporary Digital Editor for one month (November 2008) based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Reporting to the Production Advisor, the Digital Editor will work with Actors to record programs and to edit the programs for formative evaluation.
Work Commitment
Part-Time- 1 month: w.e.f 1st November 2008.
Duties and Responsibilities;
- Record, edit and produce programs for Grade 4
- Work with Actors to prepare for recording
- Coordinate Digital Files of recorded programs
- Prepare programs for Formative Evaluation
- Reproduce programs after Formative Evaluation
- Participate in the recording of the songs for the program.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Experience in radio production
- Experience working with Actors
- Experience handling studio equipment
- Knowledge of Adobe Audition and other digital editing software
- Knowledge of Interactive Radio Instruction, an added advantage.
