MARKETING & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Position Scope
Reporting to the General Manager, Sales and Marketing the successful candidate will be responsible for the development of new markets and products, maintenance of information and tea quality assurance in line with KTDA corporate marketing plans.

Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Reviewing the market, developing and implementing marketing plans and strategies.
  • Promoting the sales of KTDA teas and Brands in the market through advertising, promotions, exhibitions and customer visits
  • Liaising with the Corporate Affairs Department in the image building activities.
  • Improving KTDA profitability through identifying and implementing cost control opportunities.
  • Working closely with Production and other stakeholders in maintaining tea quality standards.
  • Driving the Tea Value Addition programmes through new products and innovations..
  • Managing external contacts, consultants and agencies.
Ideal qualifications, knowledge and skills:
  • A university degree from a recognized university preferably in Commerce/Business or related field.
  • Possession of MBA will be an added advantage.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Marketing.
  • At least six (6) years relevant experience.
  • Innovation, creativity as well as clear strategic vision are critical requirements.
SENIOR BUYER

Position Scope
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the procurement process and organizing for management and Tender Board meetings.

Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Sourcing goods and services through tenders and quotations.
  • Participating in developing and reviewing purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining updated supplies list as per established policies and procedures.
  • Ascertaining that goods and services are delivered on time and are within stated specifications and standards.
  • Ensuring sound management of inventory levels.
  • Participating in planning and forecasting supplies requirements.
  • Ensuring that supplies contracts are acceptable.
  • Preparing budget and ensuring effective control.
  • Processing purchasing contract documents.
  • Preparing tender documents as per approved policies and procedures.
Ideal qualifications, knowledge and skills:
  • A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Purchasing and Supply Management.
  • Five (5) years working experience, two (2) of which must have been served at the senior level.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
