Fund Manager/Project Accountant Job: Greening the Tea Industry in East Africa Project (GTIEA) East Africa Tea Trade Association (EATTA)

Qualified Accountants with University degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance are hereby invited to apply for the post of Fund Manager/Project Accountant to serve GTIEA Project Management Office (PMO) in Mombasa, Kenya, under EATTA.

The GTIEA is a Global Environment Facility funded project executed by EATTA, with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the African Development Bank (AfDB) as co-implementing partners.

The Project aims to increase investment in small hydropower to reduce electricity cost to the tea industries and greenhouse gas emissions.

Reporting directly to the PMO Director, the key role of the Fund Manager/Project Accountant will be to undertake financial management duties to ensure effective and efficient utilization of funds of the project besides handling personnel matters.

This is a full time job for the remaining project period i.e. until July 2011.

The position requires at least 7 years- of relevant working experience in a busy financial institution or managing funds of similar projects; demonstrated knowledge of statutory and financial reporting requirements as well as other financial issues; familiarity with donor/UN's fund management procedures and reporting guidelines as well as experience in managing funds from development agencies would also be an advantage.
