Location: Dar es Salaam, (HECA Region)
Salary: net £ 25,064 per annum (negotiable) plus allowances.
Contract Type & Level: B2 Global

Oxfam GB has been working in Tanzania since the early 1970s.

We have an innovative National Change Strategy, which focuses on Livelihoods and Vulnerability, Governance and Education and agribusiness that is aligned Oxfam's global campaigning strategy Oxfam's vibrant every level.

We collaborate closely with the civil society, government, donors, NGOs & the private sector as well as other Oxfam affiliates working in Tanzania

The Role

We require a dynamic Country Director to provide strong management and strategic leadership to the programme and to ensure quality programming and resource management.

As our most senior representative in Tanzania, you will need to have strong leadership, excellent people management and representation skills.

You will bring proven experience of managing a country programme including strategic delivery, managing budgets and funding, experience of humanitarian response, and skills in campaigning to bring about change.

You will need to demonstrate a strong track record in integrating gender at all levels of analysis and programme delivery.

The Person

You will bring substantial senior management experience, and a solution-oriented & innovative approach to your work that will help turn ideas into positive impact on people's lives.

You will have the interest and ability to develop and mentor staff and teams, and an understanding of institutional capacity strengthening and community development approaches and will lead to maximise the scope and potential of our partnerships to deliver change to those who need it most.
