The Parliamentary Service Commission is seeking to appoint highly motivated professionals to join the National Assembly in the following exciting and challenging position:
PRINCIPAL INTERNAL AUDITOR (PSC 12) 1 POST
Responsible to the Clerk, the officer will be in charge of Audit Unit and manage all operations of Internal Audit of the National Assembly in a timely and efficient manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Head of the Internal Audit Department
- Responsible for the coordination, control of the operations of Internal Audit Department.
- Ensures maintenance of high Audit standards in the department.
- Monitors and constantly reviews audit programmes for all the sections in the department.
- Organizes, plans, coordinates and controls the audit activities through the Senior Auditor and other sectional heads.
For appointment to this post, a candidate must have served for a minimum of two years as a Chief Internal Auditor and must also be in possession of the following minimum qualifications:
(i) Must have served for at least two (2) years in the grade of Chief Internal Auditor and be in possession of CPA Part III or CIA Part IV, a masters degree in Business Administration, (Accounting/Finance) or Master of Science in Auditing.
(ii) Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting/Finance) option and in addition be in possession of post graduate diploma in Internal Auditing or its equivalent.
(iii) Must also have demonstrated wide administrative capabilities and high degree of professional competence in managing internal audit activities.
(iv) Be a person of high integrity, a team leader and results oriented.
