The Hospital wishes to recruit an ideal candidate for the position of Manager Clinical Practice (Nursing).
Position Summary
The incumbent will hold the responsibility to monitor and promote continuous quality improvement in nursing practice, and provide feedback to Senior Management to facilitate decision-making.
Key Tasks
- Facilitate and ensure optimum patient care
- Lead, guide, and provide effective consultation to nursing staff on all aspects of patient care, encouraging and promoting evidence-based, rationalized patient care.
- Evaluate the level of knowledge and skills of all nursing staff and provide regular feedback to the CNO.
- Identify staff learning needs and develop appropriate plans to address the need.
- Develop and implement unit based orientation program including regular sessions on correct operation of all equipment.
- Chair the Nursing Policy and Procedure Committee, and Nursing Documentation Committee and NQAC
- Ensures the timely review and/or revision of existing policies and procedures.
- Liaise with the Infection Control Officer and Nursing Education Services for exchange of information regarding the status of nursing practice and learning needs as demonstrated in patient care.
- Monitor the implementation of clinical pathways, collects data and reports results to JCIA committee.
- Conducts regular surveys and special tasks delegated by CNO to assess quality care and nursing practices.
- Diploma or degree from an accredited School of Nursing (KRN/KRCHN/BScN)
- Masters degree in Nursing, Clinical Specialty would be preferred.
- ATLS/ACLS/BLS/EPLS or other unit based specific requirements.
- Valid nursing license
- Must have a minimum of seven years in Clinical / Education experience
- Knowledge of and involvement with Nursing Policy and Procedure formulation
- Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- Experience with the research process
