Country Program Officer South Sudan / Ref. no. cpo-ss0109
Purpose of the job : To manage the South Sudan country programme and contribute to
designing effective development programmes that help achieve the organisation's objectives,
and contribute towards setting the strategic direction for both the country and regional
programmes.
Required skills and experience
- University level education and at least 7 years of relevant work experience
- Extensive knowledge of relevant thematic areas (civic education, gender,livelihoods)
- Experience and knowledge of project cycle management
Media & Communications Officer Somalia/land / Ref.no. MCO-SOM0109
Purpose of the job: To develop and deliver a strategic media and communications plan to support advocacy and humanitarian programmes in the region.
Required skills and experience
- Bachelor degree in social sciences and postgraduate qualification in communication media relations, journalism or public relations, plus 3 years relevant work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to analyze and communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences
- Knowledge of African mass media and a track record of achievement in media liaison.
