Clerk Assistant Trainees Job: Parliamentary Service Commission

The Parliamentary Service Commission is seeking to appoint highly motivated professionals who are thirty (30) years and above to join the National Assembly in the following exciting and challenging positions:

CLERK ASSISTANT TRAINEES

Responsible to the Director, Legislative and Committee Services, Clerk Assistant Trainees will discharge the following:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(i) upon completion of an initial induction training lasting six (6) months, Clerks Assistant will be expected to ensure that orders of the day comprising questions, motions and various notices are prepared and produced as per the regulations and schedule.

(ii) that records of Votes and Proceedings are prepared and produced as per the regulations and schedule.

(iii) decisions taken by the legislature are marshaled.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in Social Sciences/Arts i.e. Government/Political Science, History, Sociology, Economics, Public Administration, Law, Education from the Kenyan public universities or from any other recognized universities.
  • Post graduate qualifications in any of the above disciplines
  • Flair for parliamentary practices and a working knowledge of either French, Spanish or Germany.
