We are a leading composite insurance company based in Nairobi and operating through a countrywide branch network.

We wish to strengthen our team by recruiting an experienced dynamic and commercially oriented professional to the following position.

Sales Executive - General Insurance

This position reports to the Sales Manager -General Insurance

Job Purpose

Ensure full representation on General Insurance in the Nakuru Region and its environs by offering General Insurance Products to clients and intermediaries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Secure new business and service existing clients.
2. Identify and recommend new Agents/Brokers to Head Office for appointment
3. Liaison with Agents and Brokers
4. Issue and account for motor certificates
5. Forward proposal forms for underwriting to the Head Office
6. Credit Control
7. Gather marketing intelligence including competition, new products and also about the Company's image
8. Undertake initial underwriting of business to ensure sound acceptance of risk
9. Handle customer complaints written or verbal and refer to head office where necessary.
10. Gather all initial information required when claim arises and liaise on the same with Head Office.
11. Present an excellent image of the Company

Qualifications, Knowledge and experience

• Have a business related degree
• Good advancement in ACII Credits
• Minimum 5 years experience in General Insurance with bias in underwriting, sales and Credit Control
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
