We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead a big team comprising different functions of the commercial department at Warid Telecom Uganda based in Kampala.

Job Purpose
To provide leadership in setting and achieving overall company commercial strategies covering International Marketing, Sales & distribution, Customer Care and Product and Service solutions to ensure organizational objectives are achieved.
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer.

To provide leadership in setting and achieving overall company commercial strategies covering International Marketing, Sales & distribution, Customer Care and Product and Service solutions to ensure organizational objectives are achieved.
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer.
Key deliverables
- Manages activities and staff to accomplish the commercial division targets and results.
- Develops, implements and monitors strategy and operational plans of the commercial division to grow the agreed business revenue and profitability.
- Initiates market research and competitive analysis to develop excellent customer understanding and market knowledge so as to identify opportunities.
- Initiates activities relating to marketing, sales, distribution, customer care and product development to ensure consistent growth of market share.
- Develops strategies designed to ensure positive management of current and future customer relationships and participates in public relations activities and events to support the corporate image.
- Provides input to the budget process by defining the market size, company share of market, target customers, tariffs, projected revenues and allocation of resources and ensures that the function operates within the set budgetary guideline.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- MBA or equivalent degree from a recognized institution specializing in marketing, business administration or telecommunication engineering.
- Over 10 years work experience in marketing or sales of which at least 5 should be in telecoms at the senior management level.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and strong leadership skills coupled with outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Highly motivated and result driven, innovative with exceptional negotiation and entrepreneural competencies.
- Proven track record in delivering profitability and challenging goals.
- Membership to a professional body or an internationally recognized profession would be desirable.
