Brief Description
Direct and control the internal audit function/activity so as to provide assurance to management & the Board regarding the adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness of the Group’s risk management, control and governance processes.
Detailed Description
- Establish Internal Audit Charter, policies and procedures to ensure Internal Auditors execute duties in accordance with professional standards and code of ethics.
- Prepare and monitor an annual risk based internal audit plan to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of operations, adequacy and effectiveness of risk management processes, compliance with laws & regulations, and safeguard of assets.
- Prepare and distribute timely quarterly report to Audit Committee of the Board and participate in ACB meetings to provide timely information on the state of controls and risk management and governance processes.
- Prepare annual risk profile report to management to provide information on risks facing the company.
- Develop and supervise implementation of Enterprise Risk Management, and Control Self-Assessment to ensure management and board understand sources of business risks and how to manage them.
- Prepare, monitor and control annual division expenditure budget to ensure cost efficiency.
- Recruit, develop appraise, retain a highly motivated staff to deliver the internal audit plan.
- Consider and conduct consultancy/investigation engagements as requested by management to provide timely information on risks and make recommendations for corrective action.
- Ensure prompt and regular system audit plans and supervise execution of corporate audits by External Auditors.
- Train Internal Auditors on IS risks and opportunities to increase awareness.
- At least 10 years Solid experience in internal auditing including IT Systems, Auditing and effective management of Audit services in a senior role
- Excellent communications, interpersonal & presentation skills
- IT literacy including use of CAATTs
- CPA Qualifications or equivalent
- Minimum Degree in commerce or related field
- Membership to professional bodies ICPAK, The IIA
- Knowledge of ERM & CSA processes implementation
