The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, a premier teaching and tertiary care referral hospital, invites applications from appropriately qualified individuals for the following Nairobi based positions;
Registrars
Reporting to the Physician Manager, Accident & Emergency (A&E), the successful candidate will provide clinical care of patients in the Accident & Emergency Department and Paediatric Emergency Department and supervise junior doctors.S/he will be expected to teach and provide emergency support to ensure optimal delivery of quality patient care.
Applicants must possess a recognised Masters of Medicine in Surgery, Paediatrics, Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine. Current ACLS, EPLS/PALS and/or ATLS certification coupled with previous experience in a busy A & E would be an advantage.
Applicants must be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board or be eligible for registration as specialists.
The successful candidate should have appropriate competencies, and leadership, team building, and strong communication skills.
Candidates must have suitable post-graduate qualifications with managerial and clinical experience at senior level in a teaching hospital. Possession of strong interpersonal skills and leadership experience will be desirable.
