Chemonics International seeks short and long-term experts for an anticipated USAID-funded project across Africa.
The project will design, implement, and evaluate a high quality and comprehensive insect residual spray (IRS) program for malaria prevention and control by providing expertise in operational management; logistics and procurement; communications;
monitoring and evaluation, and local capacity building.
Activities may include: pesticide application operations; supply chain management; monitoring and evaluation of vector susceptibility; training; and, environmental safety.
Specialists needed for:
- Malaria vector management
- Indoor residual spraying implementation
- Logistics management
- Procurement/supply chain management
- Environmental impact assessment and monitoring
- Use, selection and management of insecticides
- Capacity building and training
- Entomological and insecticide resistance monitoring
- Program monitoring and evaluation
- IEC/BCC and community mobilization
- Previous experience working on malaria prevention control programs required
- 5 – 10 years experience with related programs
- Advanced degree in relevant field
- Fluency in spoken and written English, French and/or Portuguese preferred.
