JAPANESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIPS

Scholarship applications are invited from interested Kenyans wishing to study at Japanese Graduate Schools, Universities, Colleges of Technology and Professional Training Colleges from financial year 2010 (April 2010 ~). Under the scholarship, tuition fees, air fares and an adequate living allowance will be paid by the Japanese Government.

1. Kenyan born on or after April 2, 1975

2. Holder of a Bachelor’s degree (First Class) or a Master’s Degree

Undergraduate Student Scholarship

1. Kenyan born between April 2, 1988 and April 1, 1993

2. KCSE mean grade “A Plain” and with grades “A Plain” in at least 5 subjects which include English, Kiswahili and Mathematics.

College of Technology Student

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Kenyan born between April 2, 1988 and April 1, 1993

2. KCSE mean grade “A Minus” and with grades “A Minus” in at least 5 subjects which include English, Mathematics Physics and Mathematics.

Professional Training College Students

1. Kenyan born between April 2, 1988 and April 1, 1993

2. KCSE mean grade “B Plain” and with grades “B plus” or higher in English and Mathematics.



HOW TO APPLY:

Prospective applicants should download FREE application forms from the website http://www.ke.emb-japan.go.jp/scholarships.htm or pick the forms from Japan Information and Culture Centre situated within the premises of the Embassy of Japan along Mara Road, Upper Hill in Nairobi. Documents to be submitted are listed on the application form. The form and the documents maybe hand delivered or posted but MUST be RECEIVED by the scholarship desk before the deadline: 5 p.m. on Friday May 8th (Eighth), 2009. Applicants are advised to apply long before the deadline.
