ACCOUNTANT
Job profile
Reporting to the General Manager the Accountant will have the following duties:
- Verifies and checks all accounting documents
- Communicates and advises the management regularly on financial status of the Society and funds available for programs
- Ensures accurate and timely record keeping
- Timely preparation and presentation of management records, cost control reports budgets, and statutory returns,
- Prepares and coordinates financial systems and personnel
- Ensures monthly reconciliation of all bank accounts
- Prepares final Trial balance for audit purposes
- Liaises with the external auditor for society audit
The candidate must possess the following qualifications
- B.Com Degree or any other related degree from a recognized institution.
- CPA(K)
- 5 years work experience at a senior level in a busy accounting environment, preferably within the co-operative movement
- Computer literacy in accounting packages
- 30-45 years of age
Job profile
Reporting to the General Manager the Computer Operations Officer will have the following duties:
- Database maintenance and user support and customer support
- Advise management on all issues regarding use of Information and Communication Technology
- Monitors the progress of the design, installation and commissioning of the various networks and systems
- Administers the routine maintenance schedule for all communications and IT equipment
- Responsible for management, development and security of information and communication systems
- Management and Administration of system security
- Responsible for production of required reports
Reporting to the General Manager, the candidate must possess the following qualification
- Bachelor in Computer Science or Business related degree with Diploma in IT or Software
- Development or IMIS from a recognized institution
- 3 years experience in a busy IT environment
- Knowledge of Sacco Operations
- 25-40 years of age
