Shell Communications Manager (East Africa)
Shell Oil Company is looking for a multi-skilled Communications professional to fill the role of Communications Manager for its East Africa region, based in Kenya.
The role reports directly to the company's Vice-President Communications in Africa.
The individual needs to be a highly experienced, senior communications professional who will provide strategic and effective communications services to Shell companies in the Kenya/Uganda/Tanzania region, which will enhance Shell's reputation among key stakeholders.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in journalism/Communications and significant work experience in the field, with proven communications competencies.
The role requires at least 5 years communications experience in the media/energy industry and/or 5 years experience in a Senior Corporate Communications position at a large corporation, with broad communications knowledge and general management experience.

- Proven ability to deliver high quality written output against tight deadlines, with strong attention to detail and accuracy; demonstrate sound comprehensive skills and can synthesize a mass of data into a few key messages.
- Be a self-starter, able to initiate and develop individual elements of analysis with the minimum of supervision.
- Be an innovative problem solver
- Be comfortable working in a collaborative style, a team player, ready to share skills and expertise within a multi-disciplinary team.
