Safari Park Hotel, a leading five star hotel situated in Nairobi and serving the top notch of the Hospitality sector seeks to employ a suitable Kenyan Citizen with the right attributes to fill the positions below.

A. Executive Housekeeper

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for;

  • Overall smooth running of the housekeeping department covering Guest rooms, public areas, Offices and the laundry.
  • Supervision of the Housekeeping team (including outsourced labour), of over 50 staff to ensure fair distribution of workload and general administration of the work force.
  • Responsible for high level cleaning, servicing and maintenance of conference rooms and outdoor events and venues.
  • Maintenance of accurate stock records to ensure availability of linen and uniforms at all times.
  • Proper planning and budgeting of the housekeeping finances.
  • Develop action plans and standard operation procedures in view of varying room occupancy levels and use of public areas.
  • Regularly update the hotel management on the modern materials, methods and techniques that will improve standards in the housekeeping areas of the hotel.
The position is challenging and calls for a dynamic, confident, aggressive and forward thinking person with the following attributes;
  • Aged 32 - 42 years
  • Holders of a minimum of a diploma in housekeeping and laundry from Kenya Utalii College or any other internationally recognised hotel training institution.
  • Have not less ten years experience, 5 years of which must be in a similar position in charge of a busy housekeeping department in a large five star hotel.
  • Practical knowledge in laundry and dry-cleaning operations.
  • Practical experience in cleaning materials, servicing of guest rooms and public area.
  • Should have basic knowledge of housekeeping expenses and budgets.
  • Must be computer literate.
Assistant Front Office Manager

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for;
  • Assist the Front Office Manager to ensure the smooth running of all Front Office department sections including: reception, reservations, transport, concierge, switchboard, business center and the guest relations.
  • Help to ensure full control of the Front Office Department to ensure maximum room and telephone revenue is received by the hotel.
  • Assist to ensure that the department has qualified, disciplined and motivated staff through training.
  • Assist to ensure proper functioning and maintenance of company property entrusted to the department.
  • Assist in the maintenance of high quality guest services.
  • Assist to develop and sustain close interdepartmental communication and promotion of harmonious working relationships at the Front Office.
The position is challenging and calls for a dynamic, confident, aggressive and forward thinking person with the following attributes;
  • Aged 30 - 40 years.
  • Holder of a certificate, diploma or degree in Hotel Management from Kenya Utalii College or any other internationally recognised hotel training institution.
  • At least five years experience in a similar position, preferably from a five star establishment.
  • Ability to create good rapport with the guests and to be extremely courteous and friendly at all times.
  • Ability to work without supervision and achieve goals beyond the minimum set standards.
  • Ability to set the highest personal standards of work performance Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Must be Computer literate with knowledge of the latest version of Fidelio hotel management system.
Assistant Purchasing Manager

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible to;
  • Assist in sourcing for supplies locally and internationally as requested by the respective departments.
  • Assist in raising LPOs, quotations and also responsible for all deliveries.
  • Assist in maintaining a database of suppliers and all items used by the hotel.
  • Maintaining of the hotel stores in an excellent five star condition.
  • Assist in ensuring the smooth running of the Purchasing & Stores department.
  • Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of company property entrusted to the department.
  • Provide effective leadership to ensure the department has qualified, disciplined and motivated staff.
The position is challenging and calls for a dynamic, confident, aggressive and forward thinking person with the following attributes;
  • Aged 30 - 45 years.
  • At least a University degree and a diploma in Purchasing & Supplies manage¬ment. At least five years experience in a similar position.
  • Ability to work without supervision and achieve goals beyond the minimum set standards.
  • Ability to set the highest personal standards of work performance
  • Preference will be given to applicants with the right local and International exposure.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
