SPA provides consultancy and research services in project management, procurement, and supply chain management. Based in Kenya and serving developing and emerging markets, the firm’s clients are mainly drawn from the public and international agencies. One of the international development agencies has recently awarded us a 3-year framework contract to provide essential commodities’ assessment for its offices in several countries in the Western, Eastern, Central, and Southern Africa regions.
To enhance our existing consultancy team, we are recruiting Associate Research Consultants specialized in Health, Supply Chain, Nutrition, Education, Water, Social, Economics, Public Policy, and Research and Survey.
The work will entail research on the most critical issues that facilitate or mitigate against access to essential commodities. The consultant will develop strategies and recommendations that promote availability and accessibility of the basket of essential commodities, and to support evidence based advocacy with governments, development partners, and other stakeholders. Consultant knowledge of Sector Wide Approaches, Poverty Reduction Strategies, National Development Plans, and budgetary processes will be an added advantage.
The Associate Research Consultants will ideally possess a master’s level academic qualification in their specialized field; those with a first degree and considerable experience would be considered. The minimum required experience is 8 years. Since the assignments will cover countries in Western, Eastern, Central and Southern Africa regions, consultants from these regions are encouraged to apply. Consultants should have working knowledge of English or French. French speaking consultants are particularly encouraged to apply.
