CHF International/Kenya is an international NGO implementing a Local Prevention and Treatment of HIV/AIDS Grants Management (LPATH-GM) Program with funding from CDC/PEPFAR.
The program entails technical and organizational capacity building, provision and management of grants to local, community and faith based organizations so as to enable them deliver improved, expanded and sustainable HIV/AIDS services to individuals and communities affected by HIV/AIDS in Kenya.
A vacancy has arisen for the position of Program Advisor whose mandate is to provide technical oversight and guidance to all HIV/AIDS program activities, ensure compliance with technical standards; develop capacity of program staff and partner organizations.
The incumbent will also manage the development, drafting and submission of high quality proposals, letters of interest and concept papers to bilateral, multilateral, and other donor organizations, as well as lay strategies and plans for new business development.
Minimum qualification criteria
- Master's degree in public health, medicine, community health development, social sciences, international development or related field; Advanced medical degrees is an added advantage;
- Experience and working knowledge with PEPFAR and US government funding
- 5 years of hands-on proposal writing experience including managing, developing, writing, editing and submitting large-scale, complex proposals to potential donors.
- Strong experience with management of new business and/or program development activities
- 3 years experience in implementing HIV programs or providing HIV care and treatment in Kenya;
- Fluent in both English and Swahili;
- High level networking and organizational ability, strong leadership and effective interpersonal skills at all levels of society;
- A person of known integrity.
