The British Council invites applications for a new regional post based in Nairobi.
The British Council builds engagement and trust for the UK through the exchange of knowledge and ideas between people worldwide. The British Council’s Sub-Saharan African region works in 24 countries and employs 600 staff.
We are looking to fill the post of:
Regional Marketing and Communications Manager (Sub-Saharan Africa)
This is a new post and part of a new team designed to lead a step change in the impact and reach of the British Council’s products through: professional marketing and communications and programme development and delivery; ensuring our product portfolio responds to customer needs and customer facing functions are fully embedded into our programmes.
This post will be responsible for the implementation of the region’s Marketing and Communications strategy. This will include the following areas: market research, marketing and communications, brand management, PR and media, online communications and web editorial – ensuring appropriate functions are built into programme development and delivery.
The successful candidate should have demonstrated, through his or her professional experience, all of the essential competencies required for the positions. Candidates who do not meet these minimum requirements will not be shortlisted for an interview.
