Head of Finance and Operations
Reporting to the CEO and other key stakeholders, the Head of Finance & Operations will be responsible for the formulation and implementation of efficient financial and operational management strategies and policies that ensure best practices for optimum utilization of company resources.
The Job:
- Provide leadership in the formulation and implementation of financial and operational policies, systems and regulations in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards and prevailing regulations through identifying and mitigating business risks by designing appropriate controls in the company.
- Direct and oversee the preparation of long term plans, periodic forecasts, cash flow projections and preparation of management and financial information reports in order to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and directs the modification of objectives and plans in accordance with prevailing conditions.
- Enforcing financial discipline through strict controls, sensitizing others in financial matters, resource allocation and cost control.
- Overall management and supervision of the company's Operations and department heads to ensure cohesiveness and maximize profitability.
- Direct & oversee the activities of the Sales & Marketing teams across the country and ensure the achievement of sales targets.
- Direct and oversee the implementation of Human Resource policies within the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to build cohesive teams and achieve goals through teamwork;
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment and highly proactive;
- Strong entrepreneurial, strategic and leadership skills;
- Quick decision-making abilities and drive for results
- Bachelors of Commerce Degree and CPA(K). MBA will be an added advantage
- Minimum 10 years progressive experience with an SME, with at least 5 years in senior management positions.
- Finance and Operations experience preferable.
- Thorough knowledge of Computerised accounting applications and MS Office
Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resource & Administration Officer will be responsible for the formulation and implementation of efficient human resource management strategies and policies that supports the organisation's business strategy.
The Job:
- Formulate and implement policies and systems within the Human Resources function in order to support the organisation's business strategy.
- Management of the HR strategic processes; Recruitment & Selection, performance management & reward employee relations, succession planning and benefits administration.
- Prepare & Manage the Payroll
- Prepare and implement the Annual budgets with regards to employee costs.
- Streamline and manage the administration process.
- Facilitate orientation and induction of all new employees.
- Demonstrated ability to manage people and achieve goals through teamwork;
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment and highly proactive; Strong interpersonal, coordination and leadership skills;
- Quick decision-making abilities and drive for results
- Tact and diplomacy
- Bachelors Degree in HR and Postgraduate Diploma Minimum of 5 years HR experience with an SME.
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office applications
