CCF- Kenya, a child-focused, international development organization wishes to recruit staff in the following positions:

1. Regional Manager-Western Region, Kisumu
Ref No: CCFK/2009/004

Reporting to the Program Director, The regional Manager is responsible for overall leadership, planning, execution and management of CCF's program and operations

Contract Duration: Three Years

Key Responsibilities

  • Program planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation

Qualifications and Experience
  • Relevant degree and at least five years experience in a senior management or leadership position in a recognized humanitarian development organization.
Demonstrated expertise in:
  • Developing, managing and monitoring multiple projects (e.g early childhood care & education, support to OVC & PLWHAs, economic development, water & sanitation, disaster response)
  • Leading multi-sector teams
  • Community -based organization management & capacity building
  • Partnership & Collaboration
The position requires a self-driven, adaptable, result-oriented leader/manager looking for a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children and their communities.

2. Project Officer - Early Childhood Care & Devevelopment (ECCD) - Mukuru Promotion Centre, (MIP)

Ref No: CCFK/2009/005

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Project Officer - ECCD will be responsible for Program's planning, implementation and coordination of the ECCD of the Mukuru Integrated Program to achieve set goals and objectives

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing and coordinating implementation of specific work plans and schedules
  • Preparation and Management of the project's budget
  • Lead role in strengthening the capacities of targeted ECCD centers.
  • Enhancing child protection and rights
  • Networking and collaboration
  • Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Project implementation
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Social Science or related field
  • Three years minimum in development work, working with non governmental or community organizations
  • Demonstrated experience in project design and management
  • Ability to coordinate and implement projects
  • Excellent analytical, communication and reporting writing skills
  • Previous experience in implementing result -oriented ECCD program will be an added advantage.
3. Project Officer - Water And Sanitation (WATSAN) - Mukuru Promotion Centre

Ref No: CCFK/2009/005

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Project Officer - WATSAN will be responsible for planning; implementation and coordination of the WATSAN component of Mukuru Integrated Program to achieve its goal and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing, coordination and implementation of WATSAN work plans and schedules.
  • Budget management
  • Mobilization and strengthening the capacities of targeted children and their caregivers.
  • Collaboration & Networking especially with the government, non-governmental organizations and other civil societies.
  • Resource allocation in support of WATSAN
  • Monitoring and evaluation
Qualification & Experience
  • Degree in Public or Community Health & Development, Social Science or any related field
  • Three years minimum experience in development work, working with Non-governmental or Community Based organizations
  • Demonstrated experience in project design and management
  • Ability to coordinate projects
  • Excellent analytical, communication and report writing skills
  • Previous experience implementing a result -oriented WATSAN project will be an added advantage.
4. Program Coordinator - Mukuru Promotion Centre
Ref No: CCFK/2009/006

Reporting to the Project Steering Committee, Program Coordinator will be responsible for overall planning, implementation and coordination of MPI Projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordination and implementation of program's activities.
  • Representing the program in relevant local and national level forums
  • Strengthening strategic networks and partners with relevant government and non governmental organizations
  • Provision of technical support to the whole program
  • Overall program progress reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Advance degree preferably in Social Science
  • At least three years experience in implementation of ECCD and /or WATSAN programs
  • Demonstrated experience in project design
  • Demonstrated experience in program management
  • Experience in budget development and management
  • Excellent analytical, communication and reporting skills
