Coffee Board of Kenya, a State Corporation mandated to promote competitiveness in the production, processing and branding of Kenya coffee at local and international level and to regulate the Coffee Industry in the public interest, seeks to recruit self motivated, dynamic and results-oriented persons to fill the following vacancies:
1. Chief Technical & Regulatory Services Manager
(3 Year Renewable Contract) - Re-Advertised

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Chief Technical & Regulatory Services Manager will be responsible for:
- Liaising with the relevant Ministry through the Managing Director on all matters concerning policies on coffee production;
- Pursuing the Board's objectives in the development of the coffee industry with a view to increasing production, enhancing quality and lowering production/processing costs.
- Liaising with researchers and other stakeholders to identify new coffee growing areas and ensure effective provision of services to emerging coffee growers;
- Co-ordinating licencing activities and developing mechanisms of monitoring sector operations to enhance compliance with rules and regulations;
- A Masters degree in Agriculture or any other relevant field from a recognized institution.
- At least three (3) years experience in a similar Senior Management position in a reputable organization.
- Must have attended a management course lasting not less than one month from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated outstanding professional, managerial and administrative competence in undertaking the advisory and inspectorate functions,
- Must be computer literate

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Chief Quality Control, Marketing & Research Manager will be responsible for:
- Preparing guidelines and setting standards on Quality production, processing, storage handling, roasting and packaging of coffee products, by-products and waste management;
- Liaising and forming strategic relations with other agencies engaged in national, regional and international coffee quality assurance with a view of increasing domestic and international consumption of coffee;
- Organizing/participating in trade fairs and exhibitions as a means of promotion to increase consumer awareness in both the emerging markets and consolidating the traditional markets;
- Promoting coffee market differentiation such as coffee branding as a means of value addition.
- A Masters degree in Agriculture or any other relevant field from a recognized institution.
- At least three (3) years relevant experience in a similar Senior Management position in a reputable institution.
- Must have attended a management course lasting not less than a month in a recognized institution;
- Demonstrated outstanding professional and administrative ability in discharging the quality control and marketing research function,
- Must be computer literate.

Reporting to the Chief Quality Control, Marketing & Research Manager, the Quality Control & Assurance Officer will be responsible for:
- Collecting, compiling and analyzing information on liquoring for dissemination to stakeholders;
- Liaising with roasters, packers and other agencies so as to promote an increase in coffee consumption;
- Creating awareness among local consumers especially the youth and young adults in consumption of Kenya coffee as a healthy and trendy beverage;
- Participating in shows, trade fairs and exhibitions geared towards coffee consumption.
- A degree in Food Science or any other related field from a recognized institution;
- Demonstrated high degree of professional competence in quality control and assurance;
- At least three (3) years relevant experience in a reputable organization;
- Computer application skills.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Legal Officer will be responsible for:
- Advising and representing the Board on all legal issues;
- Handling all cases regarding signing of agreements/contracts and bank guarantees;
- Information dissemination on the Board's activities to all stakeholders and the public;
- Overseeing the Board's Public Relations function;
- Ensuring proper management and custody of Board's legal documents;
- Taking records of proceedings for Board meetings.
- A degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution;
- A diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law and must be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal relations.
- At least three (3) years relevant experience in a reputable organization;
- Demonstrated a high degree of professional competence of administrative capability in legal matters;
- A post graduate qualification in Public Relations from a recognized institution and possession of a Certified Public Secretaries certificate will be an added advantage;
- Must be computer literate
