IT Service Desk Analyst

We are pleased to announce the following vacancies within Information Technology Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for 5 resources who meet the criteria indicated below:

IT SERVICE DESK ANALYST
REF: IT – ITSDA– NOV 08

The position(s) of IT Service Desk Analyst will be responsible for providing first line
Support to internal and external customers and the IT department. The persons will be expected to manage customer expectations as per the SLA’s and Management information based on weekly reports.

Key Responsibilities

Give first line and remote user support on requests and provide call resolution details to IT customers;
Maintain accurate incident logs and follow up on user requests;
Liaise with vendor and suppliers for the IT services;
Allocation of all unresolved requests and invocation of escalation procedures;
Provide second level technical support;
Monitor applications and systems availability and escalate faults to the relevant teams;
Generate weekly reports.

Minimum Requirement

  • Degree in Information Technology or equivalent from a recognised university;
  • Microsoft Certification: MCSE, MCSA, MCP;
  • USP / A+ Certification;
  • I year experience in IT Technical support;
  • 2 years experience as a competent user;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of any IT System monitoring tools will be an added advantage.
