Our client, Unilever Tea, one of the best known tea growing companies in East Africa with extensive estates, factories and other operations in the South Rift and elsewhere, wishes to hire a highly professional Security Manager for this newly created position, to be based in Kericho.

The Security Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive and cost elective security system to ensure maximum protection of the company's assets and employees.

Key duties will include:-

• Identifying security risks and evaluating alternatives ways of addressing these;
• Advising management on all matters relating to security;
• Improving security surveillance, detection and prevention of crime in liaison with the police and other security agencies;
• Ensuring the effective deployment and utilization of guards and equipment;
• Evaluating new, technology based, security solutions;
• Preparing and managing the security budget; -
  

Applications are invited from Kenya citizens aged 35 - 45 years, who hold a university degree preferably in Criminology and a certificate in Fraud investigations. They should have at least 10 years security management experience acquired in a similar capacity or in the disciplined forces having attained the rank of Superintendent or Major be of unquestionable integrity and have excellent analytical and report writing skills.

The proven ability to manage and lead a large team of people working on multiple sites will be a key selection factor
