Associates - Public Sector and Development Job Opportunity: KPMG East Africa

KPMG East Africa is currently undertaking a wide range of Advisory Services throughout the greater Eastern Africa region. The Public Sector and Development (PSD) Unit provides Performance Improvement, Programme and Project Management, and Assurance Advisory Services to Governments and Development partners in the region.

These include programme and fund management, public financial reviews and public sector reform programmes. These programmes range in timescales from two weeks to several years and require the services of multi-disciplinary advisory teams.

We are now seeking a Kenyan national with the knowledge, experience and passion necessary to participate in business development and consistent delivery of a portfolio of our PSD services.
We now invite applications from suitably qualified individuals for inclusion in our roster of Associates in the following areas of competence:

  • Public Finance and Financial Management, Audit and Assurance services, persons who have been working within or with the public sector at a middle manager or senior level in information management, processing and analysis, systems development and reform;
  • Public Sector Reform and Development, persons who have been working within or with public sector reform programmes at design, implementation or in an advisory role;
  • Public Procurement, persons who have been working within or with public procurement bodies at a middle or senior level in direct management, reviews, advisory or reform;
  • Project Management and Performance Improvement Services, persons who have been working on large scale Government or donor funded programmes in a position of senior management, advisor or work stream manager;
  • Monitoring and Evaluation, persons who have been working in the design, implementation and review of M&E systems either in Government or non-state actor level;
  • Institutional Assessment and Strengthening/Capacity Building and Organizational Development, persons who have experience with both the private and public sectors in this area; and
  • Sector Experts with significant experience in rural development, education, water & sanitation, environmental management, public policy and strategic planning, public health, gender and other cross-cutting issues in development.
Applicants should possess a university degree and relevant professional qualifications as well as a minimum of three years experience in the relevant fields.

Applicants with Post-graduate qualifications in the respective fields of specialisation will be at a significant advantage.
