Regional Business Development Manager Job: Opportunity International-Wedco Ltd

Opportunity International-Wedco Ltd is a microfinance institution with operations in Western, Nyanza and Rift Valley provinces of Kenya, and is seeking qualified applicants for the following position:

Regional Business Development Manager.

Reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer, the Regional Business Development Manager will be responsible for the following:

Main Responsibilities:

• Regional sales manager in charge of all sales activities, departments and personnel involved in Sales and Marketing for the region
• Provides leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales/Business development department, while maintaining focus on the company's strategic goals.
• Analyze sales statistics to determine business growth potential.
  
• Establishes performance goals for region's sales department employees,and monitors performance on a continual basis.
  
• Participate in regional hiring, training and disciplinary procedures of personnel involved in Sales and Marketing.
  
• Develops, or participates with the Senior Staff, in the development of the Strategic Marketing Plan for the Company.
• Coordinate activities in the region to achieve objectives established in the Company's Strategic Plan.
• Coordinates sales operations with all other departments
• Develops and/or maintains and improves business relations with all customers of the Company.
• Seeks out and targets new customers and new sales opportunities, initiates action plan to approach and secure new business for the Company.
• Manager responsible for all Trade Accounts Receivables in assigned region.

Experience and Qualification

• Minimum of five years experience in a sales management capacity in the banking/finance industry
• Proven leadership qualities to influence, develop and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team approach
• A minimum of Bachelors Degree in a business or marketing related field. A masters degree is highly desirable
