Brief Description

Maintain and ensure the reliability of the simulator.

Produce a safe and reliable product to meet KCAA and international standards of compliance.

Detailed Description

Kenya Airways currently operates single bay facility located in Nairobi Kenya, providing Pilot, Cabin Crew and Aircraft Maintenance training for commercial airline operators in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Asia.
  • Report to group leader
  • Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators and associated hardware.
  • Learn and perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks on the simulators and associated hardware.
  • Complete all designated training activities.
  • Actively purse continued professional growth and training.
  • Perform administrative tasks as required.
  • Perform tasks to support the KQ simulator group as required.
  • Aerospace applications or other heavy industry is a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally
  • Good written and oral communication skills necessary for meetings and presentations
  • Ability to work well with others, exhibiting teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask by handling diverse assignments concurrently
  • Mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
Job Requirements
  • Demonstrate ability to interpret system prints and schematics.
  • Proficiency in operating test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.)
  • Knowledge in analog and digital theory.
  • Computer literate (PC and / or computer mainframe/architecture).
  • Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs.
  • Understanding of aircraft instruments and cockpit layouts’
  • Demonstrate ability to interpret planning maintenance schedules
