We are seeking for qualified bilingual (French & English) individuals for the position of Financial Management Advisors
Reporting to the relevant Team Leader the Financial Management Advisor will be responsible for providing Technical Assistance to Member Associations (MAs) in order to ensure that financial standards and controls are maintained.
The Advisor will be responsible in ensuring that the MAs have effective accounting and financial management systems and that they adhere to the terms and conditions of grants and membership standards.
The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in the related field with Professional Accounting qualifications, and at least eight years senior level accounting experience in budgetary control, financial and management accounting.
Experience in standard setting, donor reporting and production of comprehensive donor accounts and reports is a requirement. Experience in developing and maintaining good budgetary control systems will be an added advantage
Candidates must be able to demonstrate working knowledge of computerised Accounting systems, ability to analyse financial information in compliance to accounting policies and accounting standards. She/he should be should possess good communications skills, including report writing.
Proficiency in English and in French with a working knowledge of the other language is essential. Knowledge of Portuguese is an added advantage.
