Position: Branch Manager – Kisumu
Organisation: A bank which has its operations in different locations within Kenya and Tanzania. It has a broad range of products and services and was the first Bank approved by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) under Cap 488 of the Banking Act to operate as a full-fledged Sharia Compliant banking institution
Reporting to: Head of Retail Banking
Number of people to be supervised: Minimum of 15 employees
Location: Kisumu, Nairobi, Northern Kenya
Main Purpose of the Job

Main Purpose of the Job
- To market the Bank's products and grow the Loan and Liability Books,
- Oversee customer service delivery, maintenance and improvement of Retail Banking service standards in order to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- To formulate and implement Branch business Plans, Forecasts and budgets and ensure their control and periodic reviews
- To provide guidance and leadership to staff, be responsible for their training and development, performance appraisal.
Main Responsibilities
- Implementing the bank’s strategy at branch level i.e. growth in new customer base with concurrent growth in branch liabilities and assets.
- Developing and implementing customer service ethos in line with bank standards
- Developing and retaining customer base and market bank products to new and existing customers
- Managing risks and internal controls affecting the branch and ensure that the necessary steps are taken to measure, monitor and control these risks.
- Team Management, developing and managing performance of branch staff
- Overseeing branch operations at the branch level
- Relationship Management
Knowledge and Skills requirements:
- Degree in Business/ Finance; Risk, Credit, marketing or Accounting qualifications will be an added advantage
- Good understanding of Banking and Credit (at least 2 years experience in a senior relationship management within a bank)
- Good communication skills (both oral and written) and analytical and numerical skills
- Attention to detail and a results oriented individual
- Must have the ability to work within strict deadlines and limited supervision.

Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree -preferably in Banking Finance, Marketing
Preferred Professional Qualification
- Diploma-AKIB
