NGO Jobs in Kenya

A Non Governmental organization working in Nairobi is looking for young and dynamic people to fill the following positions in management team.

1. Program Officer - Conflict Transformation and Emergency Response

Role:

To promote and support peace building, conflict transformation, trauma healing and emergency relief initiatives among the vulnerable communities.

The officer will generally support the development, implementation, monitoring and accountability associated with achieving program targets and the effective application of program scope in Nairobi slums.

Education, Training, and Experience
  • Degree or Diploma qualification in sociology, development studies, public policy, conflict resolution, or similar fields.
  • 4 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Knowledge of project management cycle and proposal writing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Committed Christian
2. Administrative Secretary

Role: To provide administration support to the organization including logistical and coordination aspects.

Education, Training, and Experience
  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration/Management,
  • Human Resource or Public Administration.
  • At least 4 years of proven experience in a similar field
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and meet deadlines.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Committed Christian
3. Program Officer - Refugee Empowerment

Role:

To promote and support functional literacy, economic and Youth Development programs to refugee communities.

The officer will generally support the development, implementation, monitoring and accountability associated with achieving project targets and the effective application of program scope and scales at Eastleigh.

This role will require close collaboration with all project personnel.

Education, Training, and Experience
  • Degree or Diploma qualification in sociology, development studies, public policy, conflict resolution, or similar fields.
  • At least 4 years of proven experience a refugee agency or development organization.
  • Knowledge of project management cycle and proposal writing. Fluent in Swahili, Somali, Oromo and English strictly required, female candidates preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
