Insurance Officer

- Knowledge of risk management concepts to include insurance, claims and loss analysis/ control.
- Ability to travel extensively from time to time.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Make appropriate insurance arrangements for the company.
- Provide advice on insurance matters.
- Negotiate annually the respective insurance renewals.
- Manage the recording and processing of claims made against the company either by third parties or by the company where damages have occurred to any of its insured properties or items.
- Assist with the continued embedding of Risk Management across all sections of the company in order that potential losses are reduced.
Education
- First degree in Business Administration, Commerce or a related field from a recognized institution AND four years experience in insurance/risk management, which includes one year of supervisory experience.
- Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII).
- Computer literate.

- First degree in Marketing or other Business Related Field, Social Sciences or Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to travel extensively from time to time.
- Self-motivated and ability to achieve set goals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Multilingual skills including French, English and Swahili. Working knowledge of Portuguese and/ or Spanish will be an added advantage.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for day-to-day implementation and coordination of exports orders between the loading depots and customers.
- Originate loading orders in the applicable systems for approval.
- Update the customers on order processing and loadings.
- Make TAR allocations and reconcile customer accounts on a weekly basis.
- Liaise with internal and external service providers to ensure that they honour their schedules and export supplies are done efficiently.
- Dispatch of invoices and customer account analysis on a weekly basis.
- Assist the Exports Manager in conducting new market surveys and analysis of information to facilitate market penetration and retention.
Working Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years experience preferably in the Oil Industry.
