This person will be responsible for;
- Day to day supervision of the Finance Department
- Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems
- Preparation and submission of EPZA returns, quarterly and annually.
- Prepare KRA tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other EPZ tax requirements
- Assist with External Audits
- Assist in the preparation of monthly Management accounts
- Preparation of monthly/quarterly cash flow plans.
- Developing and designing internal controls, process documentation systems and compliance testing procedures.
- Assist in development, maintenance, and analysis of budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs and also ensure expenditure control.
- Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
- Handling end month billing to Clients and timely debt collection.
- Supervision, training and guidance to the rest of the personnel in Finance Department.
- Payroll payment and ensuring that all statutory deductions are submitted in a timely manner.
- Assistant to the Senior Accountant
- Maintenance of the fixed assets Register.
- Report to management regarding the finances of establishment
- Assist in analyzing and verifying all financial documentation before approval from top management.
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Professional qualification (CPA(k) or ACCA)
- Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point and QuickBooks.
- High Level of Integrity and Management Skills.
- At least 5 years experience in a busy accounts office
