We are pleased to announce the following vacancy in the Access Network Planning & Support Department within the Technical Division.

In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below:

OSS Engineer

Ref: TECHNICAL_OSSE_DEC 09

Reporting to the Senior Manager OSS, the holder of the position will perform maintenance and provide long term support & solutions for the IT equipment and NMS Systems in use by the Operations Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure system and service availability for all the OSS systems and implement cost reduction initiatives based on departmental OPEX;
• Ensure that new installations and configuration changes are implemented to set standards;
• Perform successful on fault clearance within the time period set from arrival on site;
• Conduct quality initiatives, implement, measure, review security system and document;
• Perform frequent proactive fault identification;

Minimum requirements

• University Degree in IT or Engineering;
• At least 2 Years experience on a busy IT environment on databases;
• Technical skills required :UNIX (Advanced), SQL (Advanced), UNIX Scripting (Shell Script programming) and excellent knowledge of IP network;
• OCP or CCNA Certification will be an added advantage;
