As Deputy Programme Director-USAID, you will be responsible for the management of MSU's USAID funded programme and for the efficient and effective planning, management and development of its operations to achieve results.
Based at MSU;s Support Office in Kampala,you will be expected to travels within Uganda and externally as required.

Key Responsibilities:
Objective 1: To establish a social franchise, and manage its implementation and to roll out to a network of private healthcare providers.
Objective 2: To ensure high quality service delivery across all USAID funded activities through the management of ongoing training and clinical supervision.
Objective 3: To establish and run a family planning voucher scheme to increase access to long acting methods of family planning.
Objective 4: To work with implementing partners and local community structures to increase knowledge of family planning in rural areas.
Objective 5: Ensure strong management of programme finances.

- To liaise closely with other MSU departments where necessary to ensure efficient and effective management of all USAID funded activities.
- To represent MSU( USAID) to external audiences.

Personal Profile
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience implementing and managing health service delivery.
Qualifications:

Qualifications:
- A first degree (BA,BSc)
- A post- graduate degree in public health, social sciences or a related area.
- Desirable: Experience project managing a USAID funded Programme.
Skills/Aptitudes
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to manage a complex, multi-component Programme
- Familiarity with financial information management decision making.
- High developed communication skills (including public speaking, PR and one on one.)
- Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding work load.
- Ability to work under pressure
