Role Description:
On behalf of my client I am currently searching for Telecoms Account Manager’s in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Madagascar who will be part of a regional drive which will see current levels of business and activity grow to what may become the biggest Telecoms Managed Service in Africa. This opportunity will require in each country a mature negotiator and relationship builder who is an expert within the Telecoms area and someone the end customer will respect and be seen as the “trusted advisor”.
The main drivers the role demands will include :
1. The commercial aspects of driving revenue and margin growth into the customer account and maintaining exceptional customer service.
2. understanding a technically complex and rapidly growing network with major time challenges.
3. Understand a unique customer, their “corporate personality” and developing excellent relationships while assisting an ambitious customer growth strategy
4. The ability to navigate manpower and staffing negotiations which will include government and trade union involvement.
This is a critical and highly sensitive role and applicants MUST HAVE the following :
minimum five years in the Telecoms sector as an Account Manager,
Managed Service experience in a Telecoms operator/service provider environment or from a Telco vendor environment,
experience developing an account and “selling” in a Telecoms Operator environment,
excellent relationship building and negotiation skills. All positions are inclusive of a highly competitive package and a performance and delivery bonus multiplier.
