Maseno University Retirement scheme seeks to recruit a self motivated and experienced person to be the Pensions Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

The overall responsibility of the Pensions Manager is to provide leadership and to
coordinate the operations of the Scheme.

The key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Coordination of the Board of Trustees meetings and preparation of the minutes.
• Participation in policy formulation and administration of members’ benefits.
• Ensuring sound management of the Scheme assets, investment portfolio and staff.
• Preparing board papers and reports.
• Ensuring full compliance with Retirement Benefits Authority and Kenya Revenue Authority regulations.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Relevant Degree in Social Sciences; possession of an MBA will be an added advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, CPS or CII.
• At least eight (8) years experience in retirement benefits administration, three (3) of which must be at senior level.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Sound knowledge of relevant computer packages.
