Gusii Water and Sanitation Company Limited was incorporated on 12th June, 2006 under the Companies Act Cap 486 Laws of Kenya. The Company is responsible for provision of efficient, effective, adequate and safe water and sewerage services to its customers.

For appointment to this post the candidate must:-
- Be a holder of a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting Option).
- Be a holder of Certified Public Accountant, CPA (K) certificate.
- Have served as an Accountant for at least three (3) years in a busy private or public service organization.
- Should have knowledge and experience in financial Management Systems.
- Experience in government accounting system will be an added advantage.
Duty and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be a key member of the management team reporting to the Managing Director.

- Will be in-charge of management of accounting function of the company and supervise accounts department staff on a day to day basis.
- Control and management of routine and non-routine accounting matters like ledgers, final accounts, accounts receivable and debtors, costing, receipts and payment.
- Prepare management reports and ensure reconciliation of all accounting records are done on a monthly basis.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance of subsidiary ledgers from areas/schemes.
- Ensure that expenditure and payments including the RTGS payment system are properly authorized before the same can be processed.
- Prepare periodic and end of year financial statements of the Company and co-ordinate external audits.
