Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall direction and coordination in respect to the Research and Development and Outreach Programmes;
- Coordination of programmes and related donor reporting and compliance;
- Management of private sector and state actors training and networking;
- Development of innovative activities, concepts and proposals for sustainability;
- Assist in the development of institutional briefs or proposals on national policy issues to guide LRFs position and advocacy strategies;
- Assist in the allocation and management of resources within and between programme;
- Approval, confirmation and programme imprest applications and returns;
- Develop, plan and manage quarterly work plans and budgets, monitoring, evaluation and reporting on various programmes;
- Conceptualize and manage strategic mainstreaming of gender, environment, persons living with disability and/or HIV and AIDS;
- Assist in the recruitment, training, mentorship, discipline and appraisal of staff;
- Ensure that staff and programmes are delivered in a cost effective, safe and secure manner;
- Management and attendance of the quarterly programmes, bi annual planning and EXCOM meetings;
- Deputize the Executive Director in their absence;
- Any other duties as may be directed by the Executive Director
Key Qualifications
- Bachelors of Law or relevant Social Sciences. Masters in international human rights will be an added advantage
- Diploma or certificate in Project Management or Organizational Development, Resource Mobilization
- Three years experience in programme management, planning, coordination and development work in a relevant NGO. Additional knowledge in research, and training will be an added advantage
- Good interpersonal, communication, advocacy and team player skills
- Ability to work effectively and produce results with people of different cultural
- Good report writing, analytical and editorial skills
- Proven experience in human resource and financial management
2. Finance Officer

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare budgets, financial accounts and manage budget tracking and reviews;
- Assist to develop and analyze monthly, quarterly, annual budget forecasts and expenditures;
- Ensure effective cash and currency conversion management, payments and disbursements including liaison with the banking and financial service industry;
- Prepare, attend, negotiate and liaise with external auditors, business, tax consultants, development partners and mutual stakeholders;
- Supervise and manage the maintenance of petty cash, bank statements, preparation of Cheque, and bank drafts;
- Manage cash withdrawal and receipting from the bank
- Review, receipt and banking of over or under expenditures of imprests application or claims;
- Assist in asset management, records, tracking and capitalization;
- Preparation and confirmation of Journal, Payment and Petty cash Vouchers;
- Monitoring and charging the individual imprests balance(s) to the monthly payroll;
- Assisting to supervise, discipline, train and mentor, appraisal of the programmers, accounting and administration staff to build professionalism, financial accountability and action oriented approaches;
- Any other duties as directed by the Finance and Administration Manager.
Key Qualifications
- Professional accountancy qualification: registered C.P.A III, Section 5. A degree in business management or commerce which will be an added advantage
- Two years experience in financial accounting, investments preferably in a N.G.O environment
- Proficient in accounting software’s: SAGE or other relevant package
- Knowledge in financial reporting and donor compliance
- Integrity and strong interpersonal, leadership and analytical skills
- Excellent in communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good knowledge of labour and insurance laws
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multi cultural and human rights focused environment
- Ability to meet deadlines
